In early summer Granny Vul’ljana said she no longer had the strength to work full-time in the summer heat in the garden or in the family plots three kilometers away. But refusing to remain idle even for a second, she once again set up her loom, which she had put away before Lent, and spent July and August diligently weaving. Here she loads her shuttle with a freshly-wound bobbin.

Бабуля Вульляна кажа, што ўжо не мае ранейшага спрыту ў працы на агародзе. Яна ўжо не вытрымлівае летняй гарачыні ў полі. Але і сядзець без працы не можа ні хвіліны – зноў паснавала кросны, ужо складзеныя пасьля зімы, і тчэ, і тчэ.
