S’vjerzhan’ Novy’s churches stand on two sides of the town square. In the foreground is the Roman Catholic church of Peter and Paul, built in Renaissance style at the end of the 16th century. In the background is the Orthodox (formerly Greek-Catholic) church of the Dormition, built at the beginning of the 17th century with a later, baroque cupola. This photo dates from 2007.
