Photo expedition through the area around S’vir (V/V): old granary, Kryvanosy (“Crooked Noses”) 2015. As an integral part of collectivization and the destruction of independent farming, the Soviet authorities burned down most private granaries. It is thus very rare to find an intact old wooden granary (the roof is a regrettable modern detail) such as this one in Kryvanosy.
