Polesia in Winter (part I).  Палесьсе ўзімку (частка І). The Pripet Marshes of Polesia (in Belarusian Paljes’sje – Палесьсе) follow the course of the Pripet River (in Belarusian Prypjats’ – Прыпяць), roughly along the 52nd Parallel.  Winters can therefore be plenty cold and snowy, but they are not so harsh as winters in northern Belarus.
