Evening Light, Ploshchava 2012.  Вечарнае асьвятленьне, Плошчава 2012 год. Ploshchava is one of a series of Pripet Marshes villages which have preserved a significant number of thatched roofs.  Storks prefer to nest on thatched roofs.  These villages thus continue to attract a healthy population of storks for their annual five-month stay in Belarus.

Approaching rainstorm, near Tal’ 2012.  Ля вёскі Таль 2012 год. A couple of minutes after I took this photo the sky in the distance filled with diffused but blinding sunlight as the car was enveloped in a shimmering rainstorm.
