Late-19th/early-20th century (?) house, Paharelaje (Hlusk District).
This substantial house (a former manor house?) appears to pre-date the 1919 Soviet occupation of the eastern Belarusian lands. Given the destruction of Belarusian patrimony in Mahiljou Region under the first Soviet occupation (1919-1941), German occupation (1941-1944), second Soviet occupation (1944-1991) and current regime (1994-present) it is rare to find surviving examples of village houses of this type, all the more so with a traditional shingle roof.
