Most traffic from Mjensk southward to Polesia rushes down the straight, featureless R23 trunk road from Slutsk to Mikashevichy. However, the parallel but much-less-traveled R57 through Ljuban’ offers a more pleasant experience as it winds through belts of forest and peaceful villages. There follows a series of photos of the day from my January trip to and from Polesia along the snow-bound R57.
