Father Aljaksandar of the Orthodox parish of the Holy Trinity baptizes a baby in a home. During winter families will sometimes request Christening at home in order not to expose their newborn to bitter cold. In the Orthodox tradition only the Godparents participate in the Christening; the child’s parents remain outside the place of baptism, whether in church or at home.
