Mirroring the time of reflection and repentance after the Crucifixion, Father Aljaksandr leads a simple, solemn service on the morning of Holy Saturday. For this service the table holding the Gospels and the placement of the choir are moved back toward the narthex. The resulting tighter interaction among choir, parishioners, and priest’s movements takes place in a more light-filled space.
