The Harvest (part I), Tsjerablichy 2011. Ураджай (частка І), Цераблічы 2011 год.
Harvest season is one of the busiest and most tension-filled times of the year for families in Belarusian villages. A bountiful crop of potatoes, pumpkins, cabbage and — later — carrots and beets, in addition to apples and pears, is key to health and good morale through the long, harsh winters. In addition to the gardens surrounding their houses, extended families work the allotments, often at considerable distance from the village, which the local collective farm allocates.
Here the Pjetrusjevich family harvests potatoes and gathers pumpkins.
