Generations of Americans grew up listening to the deep, heartland voice of Paul Harvey as he delivered his daily radio commentaries. Paul Harvey is also well-remebered for his paean to the farmer, a speech which most eloquently and concisely expresses the respect every nation owes its farmers. I offer this link to the speech as the best expression of the respect — the reverence — I feel for Belarusian farmers, for their love of the land and of their families; for their sense of humor, modesty and generosity; and for their resourcefulness in the face of so many constraints:
