Pilsudski Legacy School. Школа на запавет Маршала Пілсудзкага.
Józef Piłsudski’s bold military attack in August 1920, known as the Miracle on the Vistula, was key to the rout of the Soviet army advancing on Warsaw. He later engineered a political-military move instrumental in the controversial inclusion of Vilnius and the surrounding territory, including his birthplace, as the Vilnius Voivodeship in the interwar Second Polish Republic. Piłsudski served as the authoritarian leader of Poland from 1926-1935. A provision of his will called for the building of 100 primary schools in the Vilnius Voivodeship (whose territory lies in Belarus and Lithuania). The schools were completed in 1937. Four remain standing and in operation in Belarus.
