Капыль (2016 г.).
A city which once enjoyed Magdeburg rights, Kapyl’ and its surrounding district have lagged in terms of economic activity. The district is thus often seen as a candidate for absorption by a neighboring district in the event of any administrative consolidation in Belarus. On the other hand, that the district has been passed by also means the current administration is less tempted to destroy Kapyl”s architectural patrimony in the name of “progress”. As a result, one can still find interesting examples of early 20th century (Jewish) town architecture in the city; here are three examples.
