Churches of Belarus (part LXI): Orthodox church of the Protection of the Holy Mother of God, Vjazyn’ 2014. The current church, probably dating from the end of the 19th century, stands on the site of a Roman Catholic church which was converted into an Orthodox church during the unremitting Russification campaign after the defeat of the Polish-Belarusian-Lithuanian uprising of 1863.
