The main road between Dzjeraunaja and Ivjanjets now bypasses Khatava, leaving the village’s long main street undisturbed and unspoiled by transit traffic.
The sun-sign on the gable of this house has an untypical design. However, the design of the window lintels is uniformly found in villages in or on the edge of the Nalibaki Wilderness (Nalibotskaja pushcha – Налібоцкая пушча) southwest of Mjensk.
The window lintels on this house stand out as different from the common design seen above.
