In Varatsevichy we visited the museum dedicated to the outstanding 19th-century Belarusian artist Napoleon Orda and then drove out to the site of his family’s manor, now being restored. Retracing our steps back through Varatsevichy, we came upon Dasha, who was taking great delight in helping to tend the goats of her grandfather, a retired teacher.
