A splendid baroque building, built by Carmelites on a ridge overlooking Lake S’vir. As one looks today at the church, restored after the end of Soviet occupation through the quiet and determined efforts of parishioners and the parish priest, it is rewarding to ponder the resilience of Christian faith and of sanctuaries expressing that faith.
