Photographic expeditions in January took me several times to the rolling hills of northern Baranavichy District. Although in decline for the same reasons afflicting so many other villages in Belarus, Mastytychy, along the road to Pachapava, draws the eye with what the hands of earlier generations wrought: a line of stately trees and a root cellar burrowed into the hillside.
Заўсёды звяртае ўвагу простая але затое грунтоўная спадчына беларускіх вёсак: акуратныя драўляныя хаты, алеі пасаджаныя акуратна ўздоўж галоўнай вуліцы, акуратныя лёхі.
