Eastertide rites in Belarus: commemorating one’s forebears and other deceased close relatives (Radaunitsa — one of the major rites honoring the dead in the Belarusian cycle of the year, a rite with deep pre-Christian roots), Azdamichy 2016. On the morning of Radaunitsa, which falls on the Tuesday nine days after Easter, parishioners gather for a memorial service in their church or, as here, in the cemetery chapel. The priest thrice reads through the lists of names of deceased relatives submitted by parishioners and then moves through the cemetery to bless graves.
