Feast of St. John the Theologian (St. John the Evangelist), Vjalikaje Maljeshava 2018.
The Orthodox parish of the Nativity of the Lord in Vjalikaje Maljeshava celebrates its principal patronal feast on Orthodox Christmas (Jan. 7). However, the parish has a secondary major feast on May 21 in honor of St. John the Theologian (St. John the Evangelist), the patron saint of the village’s previous church. In 2018 archbishop S’tsjafan, head of the diocese of Pinsk and Luninjets, presided at the feast-day liturgy.
