The original part of the building extending to the left of center is a typical example of late-19th/early-20th century Jewish commercial architecture.

Sign for Janka Kupala Street (Janka Kupala was one of the most well-known 20th-century Belarusian poets). What is remarkable is that the sign also indicates the street’s historical name (“Village Street”). Perhaps Kljetsk is beginning to follow the commendable practice of the city of Baranavichy, which has put up street signs indicating the (often several) historical names of some of its central streets.
