The parish in Azdamichy celebrates its feast day on the Tuesday after Trinity Sunday (thus June 10 in 2014). It is a Trinity tradition in Eastern Orthodoxy to place branches of birch leaves in the church and at the church entrance and to strew cut reeds on the floor of the church and in homes as symbols of fertility and the life-giving power of the Holy Spirit. The flowers on the floor of the church celebrate the impending arrival of Archbishop Stefan to officiate at the celebratory liturgy.
