Blessing of Houses (I/II), Azdamichy 2016. Parallel to the Roman Catholic tradition at Epiphany, Orthodox tradition calls for the blessing of homes by the parish priest after the celebration of the January 19 feast of the Theophany (Baptism of Christ – Vadokhryshcha). In Azdamichy Father Aljaksandr began his rounds the afternoon of the 19th. Intending that day to bless the houses of half the 42 parishioners who had signed up, he and the two members of the church choir who accompanied him managed to visit all the houses on his list by mid-evening.
