Churches of Belarus (part CLXXXVIII): Roman Catholic church of Our Lady of the Rosary (1926-34), Soly. A stately combination of art nouveau and neo-baroque elements, this church stands as a gleaming and welcoming beacon from any angle.
The church is named for the October 7 feast day proclaimed by Pope St. Pius V in honor of the Holy League’s victory over the Ottomans at the Battle of Lepanto on October 7, 1571.
