In celebrating the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 15, Roman Catholics in Belarus and Poland also express their thanks to the Blessed Virgin Mary as the protectress of the harvest bounty. However, Replja is one of very few parishes which also celebrate an end-of-August Mass dedicated to the harvest (Dazhynki).
